then it's burly cousin - the Makalu and best suited for
high mileage alpine backpacking trips with occasional
doses of mountaineering - perfect for kicking steps up
a frozen Sierra Pass or climbing an easy ice couloir in
the Rockies. The sole is the close cut Vibram Ice-New
with more rocker for easy up and down hiking that is equipped
with a convenient heel ledge for no hassle "semi-automatic"
crampons. Midsole includes a PU Aircushion to smooth out
the bumps. Upper is full 2.8 mm Idro-Perwanger rough out
leather - naturally waterproof and breathable (we recommend
Nikwax treatments) and plenty supportive. Available in
both men's and women's sizing for a perfect fit. Shipped
