The pack can be attached to the head band as shown in the photo, or can be attached to your waist belt or put in a pocket. When attached to the headband, the extra wire wraps conveniently and securely around the battery pack. The battery pack is also larger, and takes either three AA batteries, or three C cell batteries. The Mega Belt also comes with a much brighter halogen bulb. 2Hour, 20 minute run time with AA batteries, or 8 hour, 30 minute run time with C cells.
